As social media has evolved, so has Twitter.
The latest developments with Twitter has to do with options called "Twitter Spaces" and also working toward integrating email newsletters to Twitter user profiles.
Let's first go over "Twitter Spaces."
In this article by wersm.com, Twitter Spaces Will Bring Live Audio Conversations To The Platform, Twitter is opening up its platform to have the capability to have audio-only chat rooms, much like Clubhouse. It is still in development, so this is something worth paying attention to see how the tests play out and how users who are testing it feel about it.

The user who creates the space will have full moderation controls and determine who can join and participate. Twitter Announces Acquisition of Newsletter Platform, Revue
Go back to what was stated earlier about Twitter being known for being a short-form communicator. Twitter announced recently it acquired Revue, an editorial newsletter service.
According to the article by SocialMediaToday.com, "The bigger idea behind the acquisition is to help the two platforms drive more conversation on both of them simultaneously. Enabling users to subscribe to the newsletters of their favorite authors directly through Twitter will enable writers to direct them to their longer, private content, while the discussion over the premium content will flow back to Twitter."
