ARTICLE: Pinterest Adds New AR 'Try-On' Tools for Eyeshadow, Expands Product Tagging Within Pins

One thing we know for certain: the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing and we don't have a clear picture of when it might end.

Because of that e-commerce is rising.

According to emarketer.com, US ecommerce sales will reach $794.50 billion in 2020, up 32.4% year-over-year. That's a much higher growth rate than the 18.0% predicted in our Q2 forecast, as consumers continue to avoid stores and opt for online shopping amid the pandemic.

Also, according to Forbes, ecommerce U.S. retail sales are expected to be up about 11% of total retail sales, since 2019.

Pinterest's best function is providing online recommendations and shopping referrals amongst its users.

SocialMediaToday.com says in this article, "Pinterest is looking to facilitate more capability in assessing and comparing products, with the expansion of its AR 'Try On' tools to better replicate the in-store shopping experience."
