Twitter relaunches blue checkmark for profiles

In 2017, Twitter suspended its blue checkmark verification program for Twitter profiles because, according to Hootsuite.com, "a scandal that involved a white supremacist’s account getting the badge."

Twitter has relaunched the program with some tweaks.

Twitter says on its website, "The blue Verified badge on Twitter lets people know that an account of public interest is authentic. To receive the blue badge, your account must be authentic, notable, and active."
